Community

Built on the belief that people grow together.

Long before I became a coach, I understood the power of community. The connections, the conversations, the moments where someone says exactly what you needed to hear. They change things. Natter was built to create more of those moments for designers in Manchester and beyond.

The Story

For the love of it.

Natter started with a simple idea: that designers in Manchester deserved a space to connect, share and support one another. A place where it didn't matter how senior you were or where you worked. Just people who care about design, getting together to talk about what matters.

As a Mancunian, I've always been proud of this city's creative energy. But I noticed that the communities shaping my own career, the conversations, the mentorship, the informal networks, weren't equally accessible to everyone. Natter was my way of changing that.

It's volunteer-led, community-first and built entirely for the love of it. No agenda, no hard sell. Just a genuine belief that when people connect, good things happen.

Running Natter has also made me a better coach. It's taught me to listen more carefully, to create spaces where people feel genuinely safe to be honest, and to trust that people already have more than they think. They just need the right environment to see it.

The Connection

Why community and coaching go hand in hand

The values that shaped Natter are the same ones I bring to every coaching conversation.

Everyone deserves support

Natter was built on the belief that great mentorship and community shouldn't only be available to a privileged few. The same is true of coaching: it should be accessible, human and genuinely useful.

Honest conversation changes things

The best moments at Natter happen when someone says something real. In coaching, it's exactly the same. Progress comes from creating a space where honesty feels safe, not scary.

People already have what they need

Time and again at Natter, I've watched people realise they knew more than they thought. They just needed the right environment to see it. That insight sits at the heart of how I coach.

Come and say hello

Whether you're a designer looking for community or someone interested in working with me, I'd love to connect.
